Earlier today I saw a post on<a href="http://www.neatorama.com/"> Neatorama</a> about pictures of frozen bubbles. This reminded me of the time <a href="http://jenniferacomb.tumblr.com/">Jennifer</a> planned a three day trip for both of us to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Placid%2C_New_York">Lake Placid</a>. This was when I was working 50 or more hours a week and going to school full time for two engineering degrees. So I really needed the break!</p>
<p>The first night we were there we went for a guided <a href="http://www.andrewacomb.com/blog/2007/02/23/snowshoe-hike-after-dark/">snowshoe hike after dark</a>. When we finished the hike we blew bubbles in the freezing temperatures. Some of the bubbles would freeze before hit the ground looking similar to this one I saw on Neatorama.</p>
<p>I had so much fun on that trip. We went for a real <a href="http://www.andrewacomb.com/blog/2007/02/24/lake-placid-bobsled-ride/">bobsled ride</a> down the Olympic track. We also went for a few <a href="http://www.andrewacomb.com/blog/2007/02/28/lake-placid-toboggan-ride/">toboggan rides</a>. a <a href="http://www.andrewacomb.com/blog/2007/02/26/dog-sled-ride/">dog sled ride</a>, and even went to the top of the <a href="http://www.andrewacomb.com/blog/2007/02/25/lake-placid-ski-jumps/">Olympic Ski Jumps</a>. That was just the beginning!</p>
